In this episode of Not Your Daily Stories, Egyptian-Australian poet and spoken-word artist Salwa Sadek shares her poems “The Ummah” and “Chess.” Salwa is an NU-Q alumna who is working on completing her first poetry book. She says her poems are heavily faith based. She uses poetry as a means to understand the way we live life, and to share the truth and the beauty of Islam, which have been greatly misrepresented in today’s world.
