Adapting to remote learning in the middle of a global pandemic has not been easy. The future feels uncertain, we’re exhausted from endless screen time and we’re struggling with stress, fatigue, and burnout. We talk to Jocelyn Sage Mitchell, assistant professor in residence in the liberal arts program at Northwestern University in Qatar, who conducted a university-wide student workload and mental health survey in October 2020. She helps us understand the results of the survey and why she brought up the idea of an anonymous survey with the Teaching and Pedagogy Committee at NU-Q.
