The Daily Q appoints new editors for 2018-19 academic year

A new executive team of five editors has been announced to head the The Daily Q for the 2018-19 academic year.

Editor-in-Chief
Lolwa Al Thani, Journalism, Class of 2019

Executive Editor
Aisha Alqadi, Journalism, Class of 2019

Managing Editors
Ayah Awrtani, Journalism, Class of 2019
Sana Hussain, Journalism, Class of 2020

Multimedia Editor
Erzum Naqvi, Communication, Class of 2019

Seven people were nominated for the various positions of editors, and the above five were picked through a competitive application procedure and by the recommendations of the outgoing team of editors and the faculty advisor Christina Paschyn.

The outgoing editors who served for the academic year 2017-18 are:

Editor-in-Chief – Jueun Choi, Journalism, Class of 2018
Executive Editor –Ifath Arwah Sayed, Journalism, Class of 2018
Managing Editors – Neha Rashid, Journalism, Class of 2018; Sara Sarwar, Journalism, Class of 2018 (spring semester); Oma Seddiq, Journalism, Class of 2019 (fall semester)
Multimedia Editor –Basmah Kamran Azmi, Communication, Class of 2018

The new editors will select a new team of reporters and begin publishing at the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester.
