Every academic year, Northwestern University in Qatar’s One Book Program invites all members of its community to read a novel and engage in a series of related programs and activities.

“Celestial Bodies”, a fiction novel by Omani writer Jokha Alharthi, was this year’s selection. It was originally written in Arabic and was awarded the Man Booker International Prize. The book was translated into English by Marilyn Booth.
