Christina M. Paschyn
Christina Paschyn is on maternity leave from Oct 1, 2019 -March 22, 2020. Professor Ibrahim Abusharif is serving as interim faculty advisor.

Christina M. Paschyn is an assistant professor in residence in the journalism program at Northwestern University in Qatar. She joined The Daily Q as a faculty advisor in spring 2016. Paschyn is a multimedia journalist and award-winning documentary filmmaker. She has reported for major news organizations across the globe, including the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, in London, E News in Johannesburg and KVRR-TV as the station’s congressional correspondent in Washington, D.C. Her 2016 documentary film, "A Struggle for Home: The Crimean Tatars," chronicles the history and ongoing plight of the Crimean Tatar people in Russian-occupied Crimea. Paschyn earned an MA in Middle East Studies. Paschyn also earned a BS and an MS in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University through its Accelerated Master’s Degree Program. She speaks English and Ukrainian.
