The Daily Q appoints new editors for 2017-18 academic year

A new executive team of five editors has been announced to head the The Daily Q for the 2017-18 academic year.

Editor-in-Chief
Jueun Choi, Journalism, Class of 2018

Executive Editor
Ifath Arwah Sayed, Journalism, Class of 2018

Managing Editors
Neha Rashid, Journalism, Class of 2018
Oma Seddiq, Journalism, Class of 2019

Multimedia Editor
Basmah Kamran Azmi, Communication, Class of 2018

Eleven people were nominated for the various positions of editors, and the above five were picked through a rigorous application procedure and by the recommendations of the outgoing team of editors, faculty advisor Christina Paschyn and NU-Q’s Director of the Journalism & Strategic Communication Program Mary Dedinsky.

The outgoing editors who served for the academic year 2016-17 are:

Editor-in-Chief – Shakeeb Asrar, Journalism, Class of 2017
Executive Editor – Nayab Malik, Journalism Class of 2017
Managing Editor – Wajeeha Malik, Journalism, Class of 2017
Multimedia Editor – Urooj Kamran Azmi, Communication, Class of 2017

The new editors will select a new team of reporters and begin publishing at the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester.
