Celebrate Qatar National Day at the QF tent at Darb Al-Saai
Qatar Foundation is hosting a tent at Darb al-Saai packed with fun and exciting activities to celebrate National Day. With fun interactive games and special offers and discounts for QF members, this is a cool event to check out. Darb Al-Saai is on till Dec. 20.
Check out the ‘I am the cry, who will give voice to me?’ art exhibition at Mathaf
This monumental exhibition comprises more than 350 works by Iraqi artist Dia al-Azzawi, from early modernist works created in his native Baghdad to contemporary pieces created in his London studio. The exhibition is displayed at EC’s Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art as well as at QM Gallery Al Riwaq near MIA park. The exhibition is on till April 16, 2017.
Visit VCU-Q and Msheireb Properties’ ‘Strange Wonders’ exhibition
The ‘Strange Wonders’ exhibition represents a culmination of the artistic journey of the students, faculty, staff and alumni of Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. This year’s exhibition is based on the theme of pioneering innovation, industrial development and growth and advancement. Visit this exhibition at Company House, one of the four heritage houses within Msheireb Downtown Doha. The exhibition is on till Jan. 26, 2017.

Go for a run around the VCU-Q pitch or Western Green Spine
If you’re looking to be a healthier version of yourself before the new year begins, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar’s pitch provides the best playground for exercise. You can also check out the West Green Spine near the Recreation Center, which now boasts facilities for basketball, volleyball, skateboarding and other recreation activities.

Friday prayers at the Education City mosque
Take some time out to visit and admire the grandeur of EC’s mosque (located inside the QFIS building) for the Friday prayer. If you don’t speak Arabic, grab the translators and listen in to the spiritually inspiring and calming Friday sermon by the imam. HBKU hosts special guest speakers every Friday.
