Northwestern University in Qatar’s first graduating class will not only be graduating in Qatar but will be flying to the home campus in Evanston to participate in the graduation ceremonies there.
Seniors received the news last Thursday during a lunch meeting with Dean Everette Dennis, dean and CEO of NU-Q. Most journalism and communication seniors attended the meeting to discuss graduation and career planning.
NU-Q’s Class of 2012 will have their first graduation ceremony on May 9 at the Qatar National Convention Centre with their families and peers. Former faculty from the Evanston campus are expected to attend the graduation, including former dean of NU-Q, John Margolis.
That got the biggest reaction.
