Obama event sets themes for 2012 election

Obama addresses a hometown fundraiser in Chicago

 

More than 2,000 people attended a Chicago fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign that raised funds to open his campaign headquarters in the city he calls home.   The event at the city’s Navy Pier entertainment complex raised approximately $2 million for the campaign—and NU-Q juniors Shereena Qazi and Ola Diab were on the scene to report.  Both are completing residencies in the United States as part of their journalism coursework.
