Parking woes continue to plague EC students , staff and faculty, with no end in sight

The beginning of construction on the Qatar Foundation’s Central Library last semester is continuing to cause serious shortages of parking spaces on campus—and has resulted in an increase in parking tickets and growing frustration among Education City students, staff and faculty.

 

Many students have complained about the over-crowding and said they ended up paying QR500 parking tickets, arriving late for classes and even missing quizzes due to parking issues.

 

For the past two weeks, I’ve been arriving extra early just to get a convenient parking spot “ they’re all taken by 9 a.m.!
