Journalism students start U.S. residencies Feb. 14

Students hone their skills in field reporting

Eleven Northwestern University in Qatar juniors are travelling to the United States in February to complete their required intensive journalism internships at international publications and organizations.

This is the first time that students from the Qatar campus will be able to work in professional publications and organizations in Chicago and Washington D.C. They will start their residencies on the Feb. 14 and finish by the end of April said Richard Roth, senior associate dean of the journalism program.
